Best offline pharmacy software in Pakistan (2026): 10 options compared

The best offline pharmacy software in Pakistan is the one that keeps your counter billing through load-shedding and a dead internet line. It should also know medicines: batches, expiry, strips and tablets, distributor schemes and udhaar. Plenty of products say "offline" and "pharmacy". Fewer do both.

We checked ten pharmacy and medical-store programs that Pakistani pharmacies are offered today, each on its own website, on 27 September 2026. For each one you will find whether it really runs on the shop PC without internet, how much pharmacy work it does, what it costs in PKR, and who it suits. Where a website does not say something, we say "not stated" rather than guess.

How we judged them

Five questions matter most to a medical store:

1. Does it bill with no internet at all? A program on the shop PC, not a website that stops when the line drops.
2. Does it know medicines? A preloaded medicine list, box, strip and tablet from one stock, batch and expiry, and what happens to expired stock at the counter.
3. Does it keep the money straight? Distributor bonus schemes in the real cost, customer udhaar with limits, and supplier payables.
4. What does it really cost? A published PKR price, and what is extra: setup fees, users, branches, FBR, the owner app.
5. FBR: can a Tier-1 pharmacy report its invoices from the POS?

MediPOS: best for pharmacies and medical stores

MediPOS is built only for pharmacies. It is made by Innobrains Technologies in Jhang.

• Offline: the Offline edition installs on the shop's Windows 10 or 11 PC with its own database. Counter PCs connect over the shop network, and daily work needs no internet. A Cloud edition runs in the browser for several branches.
• Medicines: 45,000+ Pakistani medicines from the DRAP register, with generic (salt), strength, form and manufacturer. Box, strip and tablet sell from one stock.
• Expiry: batch and expiry on every purchase. The batch that expires first is sold first (FEFO), and expired batches are blocked at the counter. An expiry dashboard covers 7, 30, 60 and 90 days.
• Money: distributor bonus schemes (10+1), discounts, tax and freight go into the landed cost. Customer udhaar has credit limits and statements. Supplier payables, purchase returns and double-entry books are included.
• FBR: in every plan, off until a Tier-1 pharmacy switches it on.
• Owner app: Android, with the Standard and Chain plans.
• Price: Offline Rs 12,000 a year for up to 2 PCs, or Rs 20,000 a year for up to 5. Cloud from Rs 2,500 a month. There is a 14-day free trial (pricing).
• Gaps: screens are in English (with Pakistani pharmacy terms), not Urdu. There are no loyalty points or SMS. The owner app is Android only. The Offline edition runs one branch; several branches need Cloud.

Among the ten, it is the only one whose website mentions distributor bonus schemes, and the only one that names the DRAP register as the source of its medicine list.

Mint POS: best offline retail POS that also serves pharmacies

• Offline: a Windows installer with a local PostgreSQL database; sales sync, and FBR invoices are sent, when the internet returns (mintpos.pk).
• Pharmacy: box, strip or tablet; batch numbers; an expiry dashboard at 30 and 60 days; generic and brand search (pharmacy page). A preloaded medicine list, bonus schemes and udhaar are not stated.
• Price: Solo Rs 2,499 a month billed yearly, or Rs 3,499 month to month, for one counter. Zanjeer Rs 6,999 a branch a month billed yearly, with the iOS and Android app. There is a 7-day trial (pricing).
• Suits: a medical store that also sells general goods and wants a proven offline Windows install. Its home page leads with "Trusted by Clothing Brands & Retail Chains".

MARS by Softronix: offline with accounts built in

• Offline: "MARS is an offline software which doesn't require an internet connection to run"; it supports several users on a network. Its live page was blocked to our checker, so this comes from its 2024 page and current search results.
• Pharmacy: "over 30,000 products with built-in coding" from 600+ companies, generic search, pack and loose selling, near-expiry lists, double-entry accounts and customer and vendor ledgers.
• Price: described as free, with "nominal yearly fees" for support and updates; the amount is not stated, and the same page mentions one-time charges.
• Suits: a single store that wants a long-established desktop program with accounting. Ask for the yearly fee and FBR support in writing.

TransactFlow: cheapest offline option with udhaar

• Offline: "100% offline functionality", syncing to the cloud when internet returns (transactflow.pk/pharmacy).
• Pharmacy: box, strip and tablet; expiry alerts at 3 months, 1 month and 1 week; the sale of expired medicines is blocked; khata and udhaar; retail, wholesale and VIP prices.
• Price: Essential Rs 1,500 a month, and Professional Rs 2,000 a month with the Android app; 20% off yearly (transactflow.pk).
• Suits: a small store on a tight budget. A medicine list and bonus schemes are not stated.

Posify: offline, for more than one kind of shop

• Offline: "Core billing works 100% offline", on Windows or Linux, with up to 10 counters on one main PC (posify.pk).
• Pharmacy: batch and expiry tracking with "FIFO batch deduction", near-expiry alerts, and salt and generic search. It is one app for restaurants, grocery, boutiques and pharmacies.
• Price: Solo Rs 2,500 a month or Rs 25,000 a year; Business Rs 4,000 a month for up to 3 computers.
• Suits: a shop that runs a pharmacy beside a grocery or general store, or needs Linux. See MediPOS vs Posify.

CloudPOS: a local installer as an add-on

• Offline: the offline point of sale is an add-on at Rs 5,000 per system, included in its top plan (cloudpos.pk).
• Pharmacy: batch and expiry; strip, box and loose units; udhaar from the Injection plan.
• Price: Capsule Rs 25,000 a year plus Rs 10,000 setup; FBR integration is a Rs 20,000 add-on; a one-year minimum contract.
• Suits: a store that wants a local install and does not mind setup fees.

Moneypex: a preloaded medicine list, online first

• Offline: its general POS page says it keeps selling when the internet goes down, but its pharmacy page does not mention offline use (moneypex.com/pk).
• Pharmacy: "25,000+ Pre-Loaded Medicines", generic search, batch prices and expiry alerts, and a tablet or whole box.
• Price: Rs 2,500 a month, or Rs 27,000 a year. Extras: each extra user Rs 2,500 a month, each branch Rs 18,000 a month, FBR Rs 2,000 a month.
• Suits: a single pharmacy that wants a ready list and has reliable internet.

Oscar: strong pharmacy features, price on request

• Offline: unclear. Its Pakistani pages describe "one cloud POS"; only its Qatar FAQ says it works offline (oscar.pk/solutions/pharmacy).
• Pharmacy: generic search; tablet, strip or box; batch and expiry with 30, 60 and 90-day alerts; FEFO; credit sales; branch transfers.
• Price: not published; its pricing page did not load.
• Suits: pharmacies and chains that are happy in the cloud. Ask whether it bills with no internet.

SadaHisab: cloud ERP with accounts

• Offline: not offered; it is cloud based (sadahisab.com/pricing-plan).
• Pharmacy: multi-unit packaging on every plan; batches from Standard; expiry tracking only on Professional (Rs 6,000 a month) and above; udhaar.
• Price: from Rs 1,800 a month, plus a one-time setup fee "from 40,000 PKR".
• Suits: a business that wants cloud ERP and accounts and has steady internet.

Tejarify: cloud now, desktop coming

• Offline: its Windows desktop app says "coming soon"; it runs in the browser and on Android (tejarify.com/desktop-app).
• Pharmacy: batch and expiry, pack and strip mapping, a customer ledger with limits, and a supplier ledger (Pro plan and above).
• Price: Basic Rs 5,000 a month, Pro Rs 15,350 a month, and branches Rs 5,000 each a month. The trial is 30 days.

Hospital pharmacies and distributors

Some well-known names are built for a different job. InstaCare (pharmacy software), Softronic's Hospital.Partners and Zarzoob are hospital systems with a pharmacy module. MantechIT implements Odoo ERP for pharmaceutical distributors and large chains, with first-year costs it puts at Rs 480,000 to 900,000 for a small business. They suit hospitals and distributors more than a retail medical store.

What most of them share, and where they differ

• Common: batch and expiry with 30, 60 or 90-day alerts, box and strip selling, some kind of FBR support, and WhatsApp support.
• Billing with no internet: MediPOS, Mint POS, MARS and Posify install on the shop PC, and TransactFlow says it works "100% offline" and syncs later. Others are cloud programs, or offer offline only as an add-on.
• Medicine list: only MediPOS (45,000+, from the DRAP register), MARS (30,000+) and Moneypex (25,000+) preload one.
• Distributor bonus schemes: only MediPOS mentions them.
• Hidden costs: setup fees (SadaHisab, CloudPOS), paid FBR (Moneypex, CloudPOS), paid branches and users, and owner apps only on top plans.
• FBR wording varies. Ask which FBR system a product reports to and whether it prints the FBR invoice number and QR code on the receipt.

How to choose

1. Test it with the internet unplugged. Bill, return and print with the cable out, then plug it back in and check nothing was lost.
2. Search three medicines you sell every day by brand and by salt. If you have to type them in, count the hours for your whole shelf.
3. Receive a 10+1 scheme bill and check the cost of one tablet afterwards.
4. Add up a full year: subscription, setup, extra users, branches, FBR and the phone app.
5. Ask how you would leave: can you export your medicines, stock and udhaar to Excel?

What is the best offline pharmacy software in Pakistan?

For a pharmacy or medical store, MediPOS: it runs on the shop PC with no internet, comes with 45,000+ DRAP medicines, sells the earliest expiry first and blocks expired stock, puts distributor schemes in the cost, keeps udhaar with limits, and costs Rs 12,000 a year on the Offline edition. For a shop that also sells general goods, Mint POS and Posify are offline options built for retail.

Is there free pharmacy software in Pakistan?

MARS by Softronix is described as free with a yearly support fee. OptiPOS has a free starter tier for one terminal and 500 sales a month, but it is not specialised for pharmacies. Most pharmacy programs charge Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,500 a month, or a yearly licence.

Which pharmacy software has a medicine database?

MediPOS (45,000+ medicines from the DRAP register), MARS (30,000+ products) and Moneypex (25,000+ medicines) say they preload one. Most others expect you to import or type your own list.

Does offline pharmacy software work with FBR?

Yes. MediPOS, Mint POS, Posify and others save the invoice on the PC and send it to FBR when the internet returns, printing the FBR invoice number and QR code on the receipt.
