The dashboard is the first screen after you sign in. It works as a pharmacy sales dashboard for the owner or manager: how today is going against yesterday, the last 30 days, where the money is, and what needs attention, such as batches about to expire or distributor bills that are overdue. Each person sees only the parts their role allows, and the dashboard is part of every plan.
The four cards at the top
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Sales today | Net sales so far today: bills minus returns, without voided bills. The arrow compares with yesterday, and the caption shows Yesterday's figure. Click it to open today's invoices |
| Bills today | How many bills were made, with the Average bill |
| Profit today | Profit on today's sales (selling price minus the cost of the medicines), less the margin lost on returns. The caption shows Returns |
| This month | Net sales since the 1st of the month, with the month's profit underneath. Click it for the Daily sales report |
Staff without the View profit permission see Returns today instead of Profit today, and the month name instead of the month's profit.
Last 30 days
A line chart of Net sales for each of the last 30 days, with a Profit line for staff who can see profit. It shows at a glance whether Fridays are busier or whether sales dipped during a week of load-shedding. The Daily sales report link opens the same days as a table.
Paid today
Paid today shows how today's bills were paid: Cash (after change), Card, Bank, Wallets (EasyPaisa and JazzCash together) and Udhaar, the part put on customer accounts. Only methods used today are listed. Money collected today against old udhaar is not part of it; the cash book shows that.
Needs attention
This panel lists only what needs doing, each line linking to the right screen:
- expired batches still on the shelf, and batches that expire within 30 days;
- medicines to reorder, from the low-stock report;
- incoming stock transfers to receive;
- supplier bills that are overdue, with the amount;
- shifts that are still open.
When nothing is waiting, it says All clear: "Nothing expiring, short or overdue."
Top medicines this month
The five medicines with the highest sales value since the 1st, after returns. In winter you may see Brufen syrup and cough syrups climb this list. The link opens the full Sales by product report.
Money and what is owed
The Money panel shows the balance of each cash, bank and wallet account that is not zero: Cash in hand, Cash in safe, Bank account, EasyPaisa, JazzCash and card payments still to be settled. A negative balance is shown in red; it usually means an opening balance was never entered. The panel ends with Customers owe you (udhaar) and You owe suppliers, which link to the two aging reports.
Getting started and recent activity
Getting started is a short checklist for a new pharmacy: complete the profile, add your team, add products, make the first sale. Finished steps are ticked, and steps your role cannot do are left out. Recent activity shows the last eight changes from the audit log, such as a price change or a voided bill, with who made them.
Who sees which parts
| Permission | What it adds to the dashboard |
|---|---|
| View reports | The sales cards, chart, Paid today, Needs attention, Top medicines this month and the udhaar and supplier totals |
| View profit | Profit on the cards and in the chart |
| Cash book, day book & accounts | The cash, bank and wallet balances. Without it the panel is called Owed and shows only the two totals |
| View audit log | Recent activity |
Staff without View reports, such as the default Cashier role, see only cards for Active branches, Team members, Current branch and Edition, plus the checklist. The default Manager role sees sales and profit but not the account balances.
One branch at a time
The dashboard shows the branch you are working in; its name is in the page subtitle. With several branches on the Cloud edition, switch branch from Administration → Branches with Switch to see another one. Customers owe you (udhaar), You owe suppliers and the overdue supplier bills cover the whole pharmacy. For sales of all branches together, open a report and set Branches to All branches, which needs the All-branch reports permission. The Offline edition always has one branch.
How fresh the figures are
Today's sales, bills, payments, money and what is owed are live: they change as soon as a bill, return or void is saved. The heavier parts, which are the expiry counts, the medicines to reorder and the top medicines, are kept for up to five minutes to keep the page fast. After you write off expired stock, the count may take a few minutes to drop; reload the page after that.
Common questions
Why is the dashboard profit higher than the profit and loss?
The dashboard shows profit on sales, before expenses. The profit and loss takes off rent, salaries, bills and other expenses to give net profit.
Can my cashier see my profit?
Not unless their role has View profit. The default Cashier role does not even see the sales cards.
I just received stock, but the medicine still shows "to reorder". Why?
The reorder count is refreshed every few minutes. Reload the dashboard a little later.
Can I see all my branches on one dashboard?
No. The dashboard shows one branch. Use the reports with All branches for combined figures.
Is there a phone app for owners?
The owner mobile app is not released yet. On the Cloud edition you can open the same dashboard in your phone's browser.
